Over the last three years Kambell has immersed himself in the more technical side of the film and theatre industries, Learning and using a wide range of cameras, lights, visual software, theatre tech and more, to better understand not only how the films and theatre performances he directs can come together in a more complete form, but also how the story his acting tells is translated to the screen or stage, and how, as an actor, he can help make the film or theatre creation process a little easier for those he works with.

As he spent time moving through the different industry roles, he discovered his love for the role of DoP.
